Results Farmington, Pa. - Millersville men's golf entered played itself into third place after 36 holes of the Challenge at Mystic Rock, but third round woes caused the Marauders to finish seventh in the 14-team field.
Millersville's final round 331 was its highest 18-hole total since the opening round of the 2011 PSAC Championship--a span of 71 rounds. It was the 11th-highest score in the round. Only
Robby Rowe cracked 80.
Millersville opened the tournament with rounds of 316 and 313, putting it third place, one shot ahead of West Chester. Four teams jumped the Marauders in the final standings. Rowe (78/76) and
Conor Gilbert (78/76) were both well-positioned inside the top 10. Rowe shot a final round 78 and tied for seventh for his third consective top-10 finish.
Gilbert shot an 83 in the second round a fell into a tie for 19th.
Rodney Anders, who pened with a 4-over-par 76, shot an 83 in the second round and an 87 in the third.
Bret Howey placed 49th with a 249 total.
The Marauders had finished third and second in its previous two tournaments. Millersville next defends its PSAC Championship on Oct. 18-19 at Hershey Country Club East Course.
