Shannon Weber Places Fourth at Kutztown Fall Invitational

Kutztown, Pa. - Freshman women's golfer Shannon Weber continued her stellar season on Sunday in her hometown when she took home fourth place out of 30 golfers at the Kutztown Fall Invitational. As a team, Millersville finished in third out of five teams with a total score of 701 (+109).
Weber was tied for second after round one with an 84 (+10) before shooting an 82 (+8) on day two to finish with an overall score of 166. For the season, she now has five top 10's and two tournament wins in six total events. Jaimie Wharton and Danielle Freed both tied for 12th with an overall score of 178 (+30). Jennifer Gentry was the final Marauder to finish in the top 15 and did so in 14th with a 179 (+31).
Kendal Olear was the last Millersville finisher in the top 20 in 17th and turned in an overall score of 182 (+34). After Olear was Lauren Capoferri and Alexa Strong who both tied for 23rd with a total score of 200 (+52).
Next up for the Marauders is their final event of the fall season in the PSAC Championships on Oct. 18 and 19 in Hershey, Pa.
