Jaimie Wharton Ties for Sixth at PSAC Championship; Team Places Seventh

Hershey, Pa. - The Millersville women's golf team finished in seventh place out of nine teams on Sunday at the PSAC Championship but Jaimie Wharton was the story as she led the Marauders and tied for sixth overall with a two-day score of 159 (+17).
Wharton was tied for ninth after round one when she shot a nine-over 80 before improving upon that score by one stroke for day two and was one stroke away from a top-five finish.
Shannon Weber was the next to finish for Millersville in a tie for 28th and turned in a 36-hole score of 173 (+31). After Weber was another freshman in Jennifer Gentry who shot a 174 (+32) and finished in a tie for 30th. Kendal Olear placed 35th with a 179 (+37) and tied her career low for 36 holes. Danielle Freed finished in 37th with a 185 (+43).
The Marauders' fall season is over and their first tournament in the spring of 2015 will be the Ursinus Invitational on March 21-22 in Elkton, Md.
