Women's Tennis Takes Fourth After Consolation Round Loss

Indiana, Pa. - In Saturday's PSAC Team Championship Consolation match, the Millersville women's tennis team took fourth after dropping a 5-3 loss to Kutztown.

The Marauders picked up a doubles victory from the pairing of Elizabeth Wagner and Tori Davis. Wagner and Davis defeated Rachel Grula and Tori Zander by an 8-4 score. In singles play, Plowman picked up a win for Millersville with Ridhima Borooah retiring. Plowman won the first set, 7-6, then Borooah dropped out with the second set tied at one game apiece. Davis picked up Millersville's other win, dropping Emily Troast by scores of 6-2, 7-5.

The loss brings the Marauders' record to 8-13 and ends the team's season. Kutztown's win makes the Golden Bears 10-8 and gave them third place in the PSAC Team Championships.
