Men's Tennis Opens Season with Loss to Charleston

Hilton Head, S.C. - The Millersville men's tennis team opened its spring season Sunday with the first of five matches in Hilton Head, S.C. The Marauders dropped to 0-2 on the season, though, falling 8-1 to Charleston.
Charleston (4-2), swept the doubles matches, and only Millersville's No. 1, Preetham Moras, managed a point for the Marauders.
Weather kept Millersville off the court in the fall, limiting it to just one match. Charleston, a perennial contender in the NCAA Atlantic Regional, improved to 4-2. It was Charleston's first-ever win over Millersville and is now 1-5 all-time in the series. Millersville edged Charleston 5-4 last spring.
Moras picked up his first win of the year, but he needed three sets to do it. He took the first set from Matt Sherba 6-5 but dropped the second 7-6. Moras managed to pull out the tiebreaker by a 10-6 score.
Millersville plays Endicott Monday at 6 p.m.
