Kutztown, Pa. - Millersville women's golfers Jaimie Wharton and Kendal Olear competed in this weekend's two-round Kutztown Invitational.
The two freshmen were among 44 golfers to play the par-74 course at Berkleigh Country Club. Wharton was the top finisher of the duo, placing in 14th. Olear took 37th.
Wharton opened by shooting a 90 and improved on day two with a 13-over-par 87. Her 177 total was 19 shots off the pace set by Merrimack's Jessica Ngui, who was the only player in the field to break 80 in both rounds.
Olear'sbest round came in the first when she shot a 99.
THe Millersville women's team plays in the PSAC Championship at Hershey Links in Hummelstown beginning on Oct. 19.
