Men's Tennis Matches Best Start Since 2005 With Win Over La Salle

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville men's tennis team kept its perfect record intact by toppling La Salle 7-2 Sunday afternoon at McComsey Tennis Courts. The Marauders improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2005 after notching their first-ever victory over the Explorers.

The Marauder's double teams have been nothing short of outstanding. With another sweep and three victories on Sunday, the doubles teams are 7-2 in the team's three duals and 12-4 overall.

Preetham Moras and Drew Slocum improved their record to 4-1 by cruising to an 8-0 win in the No. 1 spot. Tyler Reppert and Donald Swantko combined for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles, and Ryan Knarr and Henry Ben teamed for a convincing 8-2 victory in the No. 3 slot.

At No. 1 singles, Moras defeated George Gennaoui, 6-2, 6-4. Slocum boosted his season mark to 6-0 with a three set win over Chas Berenato. Knarr, competing against his former team, earned a 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 victory at No. 5 singles. Reppert picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win against Mikel Kosich in the No. 6 spot.

The dual was Millersville's final tune-up for the PSAC Individual Championships, which are scheduled for Oct. 9-10 at Shippensburg University.
