Millersville Claims 3-1 Victory over East Stroudsburg

East Stroudsburg, Pa. – In its second conference match of the weekend, the Millersville women's volleyball team defeated East Stroudsburg in four sets on the road Saturday afternoon.

Four Marauders recorded more than five kills in the 3-1 victory, which was won by scores of 25-14, 25-20, 22-25 and 25-17. Sophomore Allison Huss led the squad with 17 kills and a .535 attack percentage.

Millersville (13-25, 5-12 PSAC) took the first two sets of the match, but the Warriors (10-19, 3-14 PSAC) rallied for a third set victory to continue play. The Marauders, however, dominated the fourth set to claim the win, marking the second time this season they have defeated East Stroudsburg.

Using an impressive defense to guide them to victory, the Millersville squad posted eight blocks and had eight players record digs. Redshirt freshman Ami Killinger notched a notable seven blocks on the day.

Senior Meredith Sinback tallied 32 assists, and freshman Katie Galuska collected a team high 10 digs.

Millersville remains on the road for a non-conference match-up at Goldey Beacom on Wednesday, Nov. 4. The match is slated for 7 p.m.
