Kutztown, Pa. - The Millersville volleyball team capped its 2008 season Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division rival Kutztown.

With Saturday's win, the Marauders finished with six wins in their final seven matches, bringing their season record to 11-16 overall and 4-8 in the PSAC East. Millersville also won three of their last four PSAC East matches.

Millersville won the first two sets 25-22 and 25-23 before Kutztown (14-16, 4-8) responded with a 25-20 triumph in the third set. Millersville, however, closed out the home team with a tight 25-23 win in the fourth.

Emily Bires led the Marauders with 10 kills. Meredith Sinback, Devin Fortney, and Hannah Duckworth each tallied eight kills. Sinback also led the team with 23 assists.

Laura Navin, playing in her final match as a Marauder, totaled a team-high 21 digs. It was her fourth match of at least 20 digs this season.

Along with Navin, Kathy Howard also played her final match for Millersville. She totaled eight digs and one assist.
