After 13 seasons as the head coach at Manheim Central High School, Jason Thompson joined the Millersville baseball program as its outfielders and first base coach for the 2014 campaign.
Thompson helped guide the Marauders to a PSAC East Championship and No. 1 seed in the NCAA Atlantic Regional in 2014.
He posted a 144-130 record during his stint at Manheim Central, which started in 2001. He guided the program to the postseason seven times, winning the Lancaster-Lebanon League in 2000 and reaching the PIAA Quarterfinals.
Thompson starred as a pitcher at Albright College, setting a school record for career winning percentage and serving as a team captain twice. He helped the team to two MAC Championships and an ECAC title.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in history in 1998, Thompson earned a master's of education in sport management degree from Millersville in 2003.
Thompson and his wife, Taura, have two boys: Collin and Cameron.
