'Ville volleyball lands AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the ninth consecutive season, the Millersville University women's volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
It is the 11th time under head coach Brian Smith that the Marauders have been recognized for their academic excellence. The award requires teams to maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA throughout the academic year.
The volleyball program finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.62 cumulative GPA, tying for second among Millersville's 11 women's programs. A total of 17 of the program's student-athletes earned PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition for GPA's of 3.25 or higher.
