
Waters and Tchilombo sweep PSAC East weekly awards after earning No. 1 seed

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - An overtime win over West Chester landed Millersville men's basketball the PSAC East's No. 1 seed, and on Monday, Day Waters and Cesar Tchilombo swept the division's weekly awards. Waters was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week for the third time this season, and Tchilombo was named the defensive athlete of the week for the second week in a row.
Waters, ranked second in the PSAC in scoring average, scored 25 points, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded three steals against West Chester to help Millersville secure a first-round bye in the PSAC Tournament. Waters drilled 9 of 14 shots, made 4 of 6 from three and went 3 for 3 at the line. He led all scorers in the game.
Tchilombo's presence in the paint helped hold West Chester to 26.5% shooting in the game. He blocked three shots and matched a career high with three steals while pulling down a team-high eight rebounds. Tchilombo's honor gives Millersville five PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week wins in 2025-26.
Millersville, ranked first in the PSAC in field goal percentage defense, is 20-8, winning at least a share of the PSAC East title for the third time in five seasons. The Marauders host the winner of Slippery Rock and Seton Hill Wednesday at 7 p.m., in Pucillo Gymnasium.
