Ebbert went 2 for 2 with two walks and two RBIs in the opener, and then went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs in game two. POSTGAME REACTION FROM COACH JON SHEHAN
- On Ebbert's hitting: "Big two-out hit in game one, and a big two-out hit in the first inning of game two. It's nice to have Ebbert in there having great at-bats. He's using the whole field, using the whole plate, hitting different pitches. It's an advanced approach. He's trying to move a runner over and hits a ball in the gap. The game gives back when you are a selfless player.
- On the outfield defense: "Outstanding. The routes were really good. Cerone diving and making a big double-play in the first game, and McCartney might have saved the game with his dive in game two. They played in some really tough conditions with the wind, too."
- On game two pitching: "Eli had four pitches on the plate; he's super competitive. I think we've figured out the best role for (Morrissey). I remember a team in our conference winning a national championship a few years ago with a guy like that--bring him in in a tough situation, get out one hitter or roll him out for four or five innings. That's the guy we want him to be--come in and get out hitters, whether it is the second inning or the ninth. He's bought in and is doing a great job.
- Millersville closes its four-game series with Pitt-Johnstown with a home doubleheader on Sunday.
