ABOUT THE GAME

It will be a playoff atmosphere in Pucillo gym this coming Wednesday as the Marauders play for one of the greatest stipulations in all of sports…win and in. You win, and you punch your ticket to the PSAC Playoffs, you lose, and your playoff destiny hangs in the balance. With Millersville, West Chester, and Shepherd all battling it out for the final two seeds in the PSAC East, all roads lead to Pucillo where the Marauders welcome their PSAC East rival, West Chester.
The Marauders are currently on a five-game skid, but they are coming off one of the best shooting performances of the season for them agianst Bloomsburg and may be hitting their offensive rythm when it matters most, playoff time. Prior to their most recent game against Bloomsburg, the Marauders sturggled to break their season average of 63.0 PPG. The last time Millersville scored 70+ points, earlier this month against the same team they face this Wednesday…West Chester. The Marauders will look to repeat their previous performance against the Golden Rams where they shot 46.2% from the field and 43.8% from beyond the arc.

GAME STORYLINES

Despite a recent five-game skid, the Marauders may be finding their offensive rhythm at the perfect moment. Coming off a sharp shooting display against Bloomsburg, Millersville is looking to recapture the magic they found the last time they faced these Golden Rams.
- In their previous encounter, the Marauders exploded for one of their best statistical nights of the year:
  - Field Goal Percentage: 46.2%
  - Three-Point Percentage: 43.8%
  - Total Points: 70+ (A mark they’ve struggled to hit consistently this season)
West Chester arrives in a similar state of desperation, currently on a six-game losing streak and winless in the month of February. While a win doesn't officially clinch a spot for the Golden Rams, it keeps their season on life support heading into their finale against East Stroudsburg.
For Millersville to secure the win, they must replicate the efficiency that saw them dismantle the West Chester defense earlier this month. The Marauders have averaged roughly 63.0 PPG this season, but when they push past that threshold, they are a team that is tough to handle.
If Millersville can leverage the home-court energy of Pucillo to force West Chester into difficult shots and transition opportunities, they can dictate the pace. The Golden Rams are fighting for survival, but the Marauders are fighting for the right to keep their jerseys on for March.

SERIES HISTORY

The rivalry between Millersville and West Chester has been a pillar of the PSAC East, and Wednesday’s matchup marks the 104th meeting between the Marauders and Golden Rams. The Golden Rams hold a slight 54-49 edge over the Marauders. Millersville has historically turned Pucillo's atmosphere into fuel, maintaining a 26-19 record at home compared to a tougher 19-30 mark on the road, a deficit they were able to close earlier this month.
