ABOUT THE GAME
- Following an opening-round victory over Bloomsburg, the Millersville women's soccer team heads west once again to face top-seeded Slippery Rock in the PSAC Quarterfinals. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
- The Marauders advanced with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Bloomsburg, as Ashlyn Calabria found the back of the net in the final two minutes to secure Millersville's spot in the quarterfinals. Millersville will look to carry that momentum into a rematch against Slippery Rock, whom the Marauders defeated 4-0 on the road in last season's quarterfinals. The victory came against a then no. 25 Rock squad and marked a dominant postseason performance by Millersville. The Marauders will look to replicate last year's success and continue their postseason run with another victory over Slippery Rock.

GAME STORYLINES
- Millersville returns to the PSAC Quarterfinals for the second consecutive season. Aubrey Strohecker, Sierra Crissafulli, and Ashlyn Calabria all found the back of the net in the Marauders' 3-2 victory over Bloomsburg, helping Millersville advance further into the postseason.
- Strohecker continues to lead the Marauder offense after recording her 23rd goal of the season. The senior generated multiple scoring opportunities throughout the first half against Bloomsburg and has now scored five goals over the last two contests.
- Crissafulli and Calabria have both played important roles as reserves throughout the 2026 season. Crissafulli has now scored in back-to-back games, establishing herself as another offensive threat alongside Strohecker. Calabria, meanwhile, is tied with Sara Edwards for the team lead in assists with five. After opening the season with two goals, the sophomore had gone through a scoring drought before breaking through with the game-winner against Bloomsburg. She will look to carry that momentum into Tuesday's quarterfinal matchup.
- Cheyenne Forte, Lia Francis, and Edwards are additional offensive threats to watch. Forte recorded an assist on Millersville's second goal against Bloomsburg and has found the back of the net multiple times this season. Francis nearly added to the Marauders' lead Saturday, striking the crossbar from just outside the 18-yard box. Edwards also provides an offensive threat from distance and ranks second on the team with five goals.
- Melanie Love, Olivia Stone, Maia Iannuzzi, and Livia Messenger anchored the Millersville backline against Bloomsburg, while Megan Taltavull made her first career start in postseason play. Early goals from Strohecker and Crissafulli provided the defense with some breathing room, but a difficult second half allowed the Huskies to remain within striking distance during the final 10 minutes. Bloomsburg recorded six shots on goal, with Taltavull making four saves to help secure the victory.
- The Rock once again claimed the top step of the podium in the western division. A 13-1-2 conference record allowed them edge Gannon in the final regular season standings. The Rock remain undefeated at home this season with an 8-0-1 record making it an even tougher challenge for the Marauders.
- Slippery Rock enters Tuesday's matchup having won nine of its last 10 contests. The Rock feature a balanced offensive attack with several scoring threats. Abby Paterline, Lilia Battaline, and Sophia Palermo lead the team with six goals apiece, while Bailey McGee and Jilly Deivert have each added five goals. The Marauder backline will face a difficult challenge against the Rock's offensive depth, but experience against nationally ranked opponents such as Kutztown and West Chester should help prepare Millersville for the matchup.
- Leah Allman is expected to start in goal for Slippery Rock after starting 18 games this season. The senior from Ohio has allowed just 12 goals while posting a .745 save percentage. Allman has been effective recently, surrendering just two goals over her last seven appearances in goal.
SERIES HISTORY
- Millersville and Slippery Rock have faced off since 1994, with the Marauders last meeting the Rock in 2025, winning 4-0. Millersville has historically struggled in the matchup, winning only six of the 27 contests between the two programs. But the Marauders are eager to continue this momentum after breaking a 10-year winless streak last season.
