ABOUT THE GAME
- Millersville returns to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament as the No. 4 seed, one spot higher than its fifth-place finish in the standings last season. The Marauders will host No. 5 seed Bloomsburg in the opening round, marking the first time since 2019 that Millersville has hosted a PSAC Tournament game. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Pucillo Field.
- The Marauders enter Saturday's matchup following a regular-season finale victory over Shippensburg. The Huskies, meanwhile, have dropped three consecutive games, dating back to an Oct. 17 loss to Kutztown. Saturday's contest marks the third meeting between Millersville and Bloomsburg this season, with the Marauders winning both regular-season matchups by identical 1-0 scores.

GAME STORYLINES
- Millersville and Bloomsburg will meet in the opening round of the PSAC Tournament for the second consecutive season. After losing both regular-season matchups to the Huskies last year, the Marauders rallied in the second half of their opening-round tournament matchup, with Caroline Wood scoring the game-winning goal to advance Millersville to the quarterfinals. The Marauders currently hold a three-game winning streak against Bloomsburg and will look to extend it Saturday.
- Aubrey Strohecker is putting together a career season in her final year as a Marauder. The senior has scored 22 goals, breaking both the single-season and all-time career goal-scoring records following a four-goal performance on Thursday. Strohecker leads the PSAC in goals scored and ranks second nationally in NCAA Division II women's soccer. She also scored the lone goal in Millersville's first meeting with Bloomsburg on Sept. 2, helping the Marauders secure a 1-0 victory.
- Other notable offensive players to watch include Sara Edwards, Brook Balliet, Sierra Crissafulli, Cheyenne Forte, and Ashlyn Calabria. The five Marauders have combined for 14 of Millersville's 43 goals this season. Edwards is expected to return to the lineup Saturday after missing the previous two games with an injury. She has contributed five goals this season and will provide a significant boost to the Marauders' offense. Balliet and Forte have helped round out the attacking group alongside Strohecker, developing chemistry that has contributed to Millersville's offensive success. Crissafulli and Calabria have also provided valuable depth off the bench and remain offensive threats whenever their opportunities arise.
- Defensively, freshman goalkeeper Megan Taltavull has established herself as a key contributor for the Marauders. The Maryland native enters Saturday with a 10-4-3 record in her rookie season and has recorded a shutout in both meetings against Bloomsburg this season. Taltavull holds a .741 save percentage while allowing just 15 goals. In front of her, the backline features Lia Francis, Melanie Love, Maia Iannuzzi, and Olivia Stone. A formation adjustment midway through the season has helped fuel Millersville's defensive success. Francis moved from the midfield to the backline, where she has partnered with Love, while freshman Ka'ena Scott stepped into Francis' previous midfield role and has taken control of the center of the formation. The defensive adjustment has helped limit opposing shots on goal and ease the pressure on Taltavull. This experienced defensive core will look to present a difficult challenge for the Huskies' offense Saturday.
- Bloomsburg has featured a balanced offensive attack throughout the regular season. Olivia Thompson leads the Huskies with four goals, while eight different players have contributed two goals apiece, giving Bloomsburg several scoring options. Daryn Sava leads the team with five assists and will look to create additional scoring opportunities for the Huskies' attacking unit.
- Junior goalkeeper Izzy Hoffeditz is expected to start in net for Bloomsburg. Hoffeditz enters Saturday with a 7-7-1 record, allowing 15 goals while maintaining a .800 save percentage. Over her last three games, she has surrendered just three goals while recording 22 saves. Against Millersville this season, Hoffeditz has allowed two goals and made seven saves.
SERIES HISTORY
- Millersville and Bloomsburg have been competing against one another since 1994 where the Huskies took the opening contest by seven goals. The Marauders currently hold a three game win streak over the Huskies but historically have struggled against Bloomsburg posting an 8-35-6 record.
