The Marauders rallied from an 11-8 deficit by winning seven of the final eight rallies to take the fifth set, 15-12. Reustle's serve helped 'Ville draw even at 11-11, and kills from Nava, Lazur and Sawyer carried the finish before Wilmington's ball-handling error ended the set.
"All three middles have had the best hitting percentage all season," said head coach Brian Smith when asked about Protzman, White, and Lazur hitting over .500. "The better story was that our passing allowed us to use them as often as we did. When we do that, we can take the pressure off the pin hitters... I was super happy just that she [Becca Hartranft] was able to get through that concussion and kind of get back and get a chance to play the last few matches in her senior season... That was a good match for us that will be helpful when going into the Ship match tomorrow and and then finishing up against the Bloomsburg and Lackawanna."
