OUTLOOK FOR THE MARAUDERS
Millersville enters the championship after competing in five fall tournaments, highlighted by a victory at the Husky Fall Invitational and two additional top-four finishes. The Marauders opened the season with a seventh-place finish at the Vulcan Invitational, where Cole Duffy tied for fifth at three-under-par after rounds of 69 and 72.
"Golf is just a long game. You're battling yourself against the course, so I think the less pressure you put on yourself is better," stated senior captain Logan Wagner. "We're a very good mental team and I think that's going to help us a lot this week. Trying not to feel the pressure...enjoy it."
The team improved at the Dickinson Invitational, tying for fourth as Wagner finished fourth among the Marauders' top performers, before capturing the Husky Fall Invitational title on Sept. 12–13. Duffy played a key role in the victory, shooting four-under-par 68 in the final round to help Millersville complete its comeback.
Millersville continued its strong stretch by tying for third at the WCU Battlefield Classic. Wagner tied for third individually at one-over-par, while Lawson Leeper and Brady Wager each finished tied for 18th. The Marauders closed the fall at the Sunnehanna Collegiate, placing 14th among 18 teams. Leeper led Millersville, tying for 19th at four-over-par across three rounds.
Wagner and Duffy will be important contributors for the Marauders at the conference championship. Wagner produced multiple top-five finishes during the fall, while Duffy demonstrated his scoring ability with strong individual results and a key performance in the team's tournament victory. Leeper also enters the postseason after leading Millersville at Sunnehanna.
The Marauders have shown they can compete for tournament titles, but consistency across all three rounds will be crucial as they look to translate their fall success into a strong championship performance.
"As a team, I think we've done a good job not reacting to bad shots or bad holes and just being able to reset and move on so excited about that," said head coach Matt Shur when asked to reflect on the fall season. "Mindset wise, we've kind of shifted in whenever we're in a bad hole or bad spot on the course, it's an opportunity to make a really cool par or an opportunity to have a story. The mindset shift, kind of aluminizing bad times into good ones."

OUTLOOK ON THE FIELD
Millersville will face a competitive conference field, including Gannon, which captured the Howard "Bud" Elwell Invitational in October, and perennial contender Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Pitt-Johnstown also brings postseason experience and a history of competing at a high level.
With several programs capable of contending for the title, Millersville will need a strong start and steady scoring throughout the weekend. The Marauders have already demonstrated their potential this fall and will look to finish the season with a strong showing at Iron Valley.
