Millersville sits at 11-over-par following the opening round, led by Lawson Leeper, who carded a 2-under-par 70 to pace the Marauders. Leeper's round included birdies on the first two holes and a strong finish, as he played the final nine holes at 1-under par to finish tied for third individually.
Jonathan Breinich also posted a 70, finishing day one at 1-under-par six hole through the back nine to help Millersville's effort. Brady Wager followed with a 3-over-par, while Logan Wagner carded a 5-over-par. Cole Duffy rounded out the team's scoring with a 7-over-par.
Leeper and Breinich's matching 70s provided Millersville with two strong opening-round performances as the Marauders look to build momentum heading into the second day of competition.
Millersville returns to the course Saturday morning morning, with Wagner kicking off the Marauder's second rounds at 11:40 a.m..
