
Men's Tennis tops Flying Dutchmen 6-1

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville University men's tennis team delivered a dominant all-around performance, overpowering Lebanon Valley College's Flying Dutchmen with a commanding 6-1 victory. Sandor Wulf, Adrian Weisser, Joel Oetliker, Milan Urbanek, and Daniel Ducheyne each cruised to straight-set victories in their respective singles matches.
In doubles action, the Marauders claimed two of the three matches, with Paul Bagnouls and Ducheyne sailing to a 6-0 win. Axel Duclos and Wulf followed up with a 6-2 victory over Beck and Warren (LVC), securing the doubles point for Millersville. Oetliker and Weisser pushed their match into a close scoring competition but eventually fell short 7-5. Wulf, Weisser, Oetliker, Urbanek, and Ducheyne propelled the Marauders to a dominant finish each securing victories for their single matches, earning the team five points. The Marauders improve to 1-0 on the season while Lebanon Valley falls to 2-2.
"We played well for our first dual match," said head coach Matt Helsel. "I thought Sandor and Axel did a nice job in doubles and so did Paul and Dan. We experimented with the doubles pairings and they looked pretty good. Overall, we were also pretty solid in singles. Joel and Adrian did a great job, and Dan and Sandor were very sharp."
The Marauders' next match is Thursday, Oct. 2 at the ITA Regional located in Bloomsburg, Pa.
