When it comes to the javelin at Millersville University, there is Amanda Myers Strack, and then there is everyone else. Myers Strack broke a 24-year-old school record and competed at the nation’s highest level of competition, qualifying for the NCAA Division II Championships a program record four times.

Myers Strack earned All-America honors three times in the javelin. Her toss of 157-10 at the 2016 NCAA Championships still stands more than eight feet clear of any other Marauder thrower. Myers earned All-PSAC honors for top-three finishes in the javelin at the 2017 and 2018 PSAC Outdoor Championships and placed second in the hammer throw as a senior in 2018. In the two events, Myers Strack piled up five USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region commendations.

As a freshman in 2015, Myers Strack became Millersville track and field’s first PSAC Freshman of the Year award winner after qualifying for the NCAA Championships and placing 13th. She followed that performance by taking 10th for All-America Second Team honors in 2016. Myers Strack established herself among the nation’s elite javelin throwers as a junior, placing sixth. She improved again as a senior, placing fifth at the national championships.

Following graduation, Myers Strack received the Millersville Athletics Career Achievement Award. Also excelling in the classroom, Myers Strack earned USTFCCCA All-Academic and PSAC Scholar-Athlete recognition four times.
