Marauders sweep top three spots in hammer throw at Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. - The Millersville University women's track and field team turned in a strong showing at the Danny Curran Invite, highlighted by a sweep of the top three spots in the hammer throw led by Sarah Hessler's NCAA and PSAC qualifying mark. The Marauders competed alongside over 2,000 athletes with over 75 different teams.

- In the hammer throw, the Marauders dominated the event by sweeping the top three spots. Sarah Hessler led the way with a throw of 179-10, hitting both NCAA and PSAC qualifying marks while also setting a Widener field record. Seya Trujillo followed in second with a mark of 164-7, and Chloe Enck secured third with a throw of 163-9.
- Milan Snell and Abigail Fisher both hit personal bests in the 100-meter dash.
- Snell continued her strong performance in the 200-meter run, posting a PSAC qualifying time of 25.77, while Jai'Ana Ingram and Olianna Oravitz each added personal bests in the event.
- Kaelyn Samaha ran a personal best in the 800-meter run with a 2:35.94.
- In the 1,500-meter run, Bri Pollock, Bella Ruefle, Marissa Mounce, Emilea Alleman, Cora Wentz, and Nadia Frydlewicz all notched personal-best times.
- Breia Mayes placed sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best and PSAC qualifying time of 11:50.10.
- Trujillo threw a season best 124-3 in the discus throw for fourth place.
- Erin Krauss had a personal best in the javelin.
- Camron Roush had a season best in the long jump.
