Marauders excel in home track meet with multiple top finishes

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville University track and field team opened its first home meet in strong fashion, completing day one of the Millersville Metrics with an impressive showing. The Marauders recorded multiple top finishes, notched three PSAC qualifying marks, and delivered several personal-best performances.

- The Marauders dominated the hammer throw, sweeping the top three spots. Sarah Hessler led the way with a first-place finish, followed by Chloe Enck in second and Seya Trujillo in third. Hessler's mark now ranks her No. 7 on the NCAA Division II top 100 list this season. Emily Sheffe hit a personal best throw at 132-08.
- In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, the Marauders claimed the top four spots, with Bella Ruefle taking first, followed by Kiersten Lloyd, Abby Bond, and Ashley Main. Both Ruefle and Lloyd met the PSAC qualifying standard, while Ruefle also recorded a personal-best time.
- Olivia Sunderland posted a personal-best time in the 5,000-meter run to take second place, while Bri Pollock finished third. Mary Anna Benko also turned in a personal-best performance.
- Emilea Alleman secured a PSAC qualifying mark with a winning time of 39:35.18 in the 10,000-meter run. Emma Armstrong followed in third place, with Breia Mayes finishing fourth.
