Marauders finish fourth in Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge

MYRTLE BEACH, SC. - The Millersville University women's track and field team finished fourth out of 26 teams in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge. The Marauders placed just behind Division I programs UNC Wilmington, Coastal Carolina, and Appalachian State, making them the top-finishing Division II team at the meet. Bri Pollock and Morgan Klaiss each recorded personal-best times in the 1,500-meter run, while Marissa Hillegas added a personal best in the triple jump.

Notable Results:

In the finals of the 100-meter hurdles, Megan Hechler placed fifth with a time of 15.46.
Lauren Gula finished seventh in the collegiate 400-meter run with a time of 59.75.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Hechler finished seventh, while her teammate Mary Weiss placed ninth.
Bri Pollock recorded a personal-best time of 4:55.98 in the 1500-meter run, finishing seventh. Morgan Klaiss also posted a personal best with a time of 5:25.96.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Danika Bolinsky, Camron Roush, Abigail Fisher, and Olianna Oravitz placed seventh with a time of 50.29.
Marissa Hillegas hit a personal best 33-09.25 for fourth place in the triple jump (open).

"We got a little tired today," said head coach Andy Young. "It was a long week of training, fun in the sun, and competng had us a bit flat today."
