Six Marauders hit PSAC marks in day one of Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge

MYRTLE BEACH, SC. - The Millersville University women's track and field team opened its outdoor season at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge with a strong start. On day one of competition, six athletes reached PSAC qualifying marks while multiple Marauders recorded top-three finishes. Chloe Enck highlighted the first day of the meet with the Marauders' first NCAA qualifying mark of the outdoor season in the hammer throw. The Marauders are currently sitting in first place with 43 points.

The Marauders will continue competition at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge tomorrow, March 14, competing in the 200-meter run (collegiate), 400-meter run (collegiate), 400-meter hurdles (collegiate), 1500-meter run (collegiate), 3000-meter steeplechase (collegiate), discus throw (collegiate), high jump (open), pole vault (collegiate), triple jump (open), triple jump (collegiate), and the 4x100-meter relay (collegiate).

Notable Results:
- Megan Hechler ran a time of 15.42 in the 100-meter hurdles (collegiate), qualifying for the finals scheduled for Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The mark also met the PSAC qualifying standard of 15.50 or faster.
- In the 800-meter run (open), Livia Lighty ran a time of 2:30.61 to finish second overall, while Morgan Klaiss clocked a 2:39.59 to place sixth overall.
- Olivia Sunderland finished fifth in the 10,000-meter run (collegiate) with a time of 39:38.87, earning a PSAC qualifying mark and a personal-best performance.
- In the hammer throw (collegiate), Chloe Enck recorded a personal-best throw of 174-11 to win the event, earning both a PSAC qualifying mark and an NCAA qualifying mark. Her teammate, Seya Trujillo, finished second with a personal-best throw of 174-10, also securing a PSAC qualifying mark.
- Erin Krauss finished first in the javelin throw (collegiate) with a mark of 129-06, earning a PSAC qualifying mark. Annika Gunderson placed third with a throw of 120-03, just short of the qualifying standard.
- Olianna Oravitz grabbed a PSAC qualifying mark in the long jump (collegiate), finishing sixth with a jump of 17-11, making the mark just by one centimeter.
- The 4x200-meter relay (collegiate) squad of Abigail Fisher, Mary Weiss, Marissa Hillegas, and Lauren Gula finsihed in seventh with a 1:47.18.
