
Blantz, Morris land CSC Academic All-District honors

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Connor Blantz and Sam Morris of the Millersville University baseball program have been named CSC Academic All-District® for their combined performances in the classroom and on the field.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while also starting 66% or playing in 90% of the team's games.
Blantz, a graduate student in sports administration, posted a 4.0 GPA at Millersville after graduating from North Carolina A&T with a 4.0 GPA. Blantz earned All-PSAC East and D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Second Team honors as a starting pitcher with a 6-2 record and 3.89 GPA.
Morris is now a two-time Academic All-District honoree. He graduated with a 3.56 GPA in public relations. On the field, Morris hit .333 in 195 career games and ranked ninth in career steals and 10th in career RBIs.
Both Blantz and Morris have moved on to the professional ranks, playing in the Frontier League. Blantz signed a contract with the Washington Wild Things and debuted on Sunday, June 1. Morris has played in three games since May 27.
