MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Following a 44-win season, a PSAC Championship and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Atlantic Regional, the Millersville baseball program picked up All-Atlantic Region honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the Conference Commissioners Association (CCA).
Head coach
Jon Shehan headlined the honors as the NCBWA's Atlantic Region Coach of the Year. It is the fifth time he has been named the region's coach of the year, and the third time honored by the NCBWA. Millersville led all programs with five CCA all-region honorees.Â
Senior outfielder
Bren Taylor was a first team selection by both organizations. He was the consensus region player of the year in 2023, and he is now the first Marauder named All-Atlantic Region four times. He is a four-time NCBWA first team pick. Taylor finished his career as the PSAC's all-time leader in hits and runs. He hit .345 with a .463 on-base percentage in 2025, totaling 31 walks to just nine strikeouts.Â
Junior
Matthew Williams was the NCBWA's first team selection as a utility player and was a second team selection by the CCA. Williams set a single-season Millersville record for home runs with 18, drove in 62 runs and hit .330 with a .670 slugging percentage. On the mound, Williams posted a 2-0 record and 4.63 ERA in eight appearances.Â
Outfielder
Jeff Sabater and starting pitcher
Connor Blantz landed second team honors with both organizations. Sabater led the PSAC with 39 stolen bases and led Millersville in hitting (.363), on-base percentage (.491), hits (66) and runs (63). Blantz, a grad transfer, went 6-2 with a 3.89 ERA in 13 starts. He led Millersville with 69 1/3 innings pitched and 98 strikeouts, which rank second in Millersville history.Â
Shortstop
Amani Jones landed on the CCA's second team. Jones hit .343 with four home runs, a team-leading 15 doubles and 45 RBIs. He hit .349 against the PSAC East and .411 in Millersville's nine postseason games.Â
The NCBWA teams are selected by a committee of the organization's members. The CCA teams are nominated and voted on by the region's college sports communicators.Â
