
Peters wins second consecutive PSAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week award

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Millersville men's golf sophomore Timothy Peters won the Alvernia Spring Invitational on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, he was named the PSAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row.
Peters earned his second consecutive win to start the spring schedule and won for the fourth time in eight starts in 2024-25 by topping 47 golfers. He helped Millersville to a team win, topping seven teams, including PSAC members Shepherd and Bloomsburg. Peters opened with a 2-under 70 that included six birdies and was the best round of the tournament. He closed with a 77 to hold off Alvernia's Jackson Hoovler by one shot.
Peters has now won six PSAC Athlete of the Week awards in fewer than two full seasons as a collegiate golfer. The win at Alvernia was the eighth of his career. He has finished in the top 10 in all eight events in 2024-25.
