WASHINGTON, Pa. — After going into day two slated to finish fifth in the tournament, Millersville surged to the top of the leaderboard for a second consecutive invitational, finishing tied with three other teams for second place.
Round one, which took place on March 23, seems to be the round to feel things out for the Marauders early in the Spring season, as they ended shooting 23 over par and facing a fifth-place finish. On day two, three Marauders shot an even par to propel them up the leaderboard and into the number two spot as a team.
After shooting five over par on day one, Josh Baker continued a strong tournament with a 10th-place finish and even par on day two. This is Baker's second top 10 finish of the 2025-26 season, and it falls two strokes short of his 36-hole personal best at 149 strokes. Baker shot eight bogeys, three birdies, and 25 pars over the course of 48 hours to lead the Marauders on the leaderboard.
Following Baker, just eight spots behind him, finishing 18th in the tournament was Logan Wagner, who had an up-and-down day on day two, but ultimately leapfrogged twenty other competitors for a top 25 finish. Wagner also shot even par on day two, but in a completely different manner than Baker did. Wagner finished with six birdies, four bogeys, and a double-bogey on hole 5, a 520-yard par 5. This is Wagner's fifth top-25 finish of the 2025-26 season.
The final Marauder to shoot even on the day was Max Pflieger. Pflieger went into day two 12 over par and managed to bounce back with three birdies and three bogies to end the tournament just 12 over par.
While he didn't have a team-low score throughout the two days, Bo Meakim finished 12th in the tournament with two impressive days. On day one, Bo shot four over par and found himself in contention for a top-25 finish early on in the tournament. He did just that when he solidified a top-25 finish by shooting just two shots over par on day two, giving him his fifth top-25 finish of the 2025-26 season.
Cole Duffy also started hot for the Marauders on day one with an eagle on the 520-yard par 5 on day one and finished his first 18 at six over. Duffy ultimately fell behind on day two, shooting 12 over par and finishing at 18 over par at the conclusion of the tournament.
