Box Score BEL AIR, Md. — The Millersville women's tennis team won its second match in as many contests to start the spring season, winning 5–2 over Harford Community College.
It was a dominant showing for Millersville, nearly sweeping the day in the eight matches played. The Marauders controlled doubles play, with
Chloe Abramowitz and
Luci Consigliere coasted to a 6–0 win in the second spot, and
Victoria Schrader and
Yasmin Scott earned an identical result in the final doubles match. At the top of the lineup,
Hui Jen Soo and
Lauren Hayes took a 6–1 win to give Millersville each of the three doubles matches.
The Marauders would go on to win four of the singles matches, only losing one as Harford picked up a win by default in the sixth spot. Abramowitz picked up a 6–0, 6–2 win as the second starter, and Schraeder won her matchup 6–0, 6–1 as the fifth Marauder. Hayes and Consigliere both won their matches in clean sweeps, 6-0, 6–0.
The Marauders improved to 2–2 on the season, picking up back-to-back wins to begin its spring portion of the schedule. Next up for Millersville is a home meeting against Salem at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 7 at McComsey Tennis Courts.
