
'Ville women's golf opens spring with win at LVC Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. - Millersville women's golf closed the fall with a win at Lebanon Country Club, and the team opened its spring schedule with another win in the same place. Led by Charley Kirby's first win of the season, the Marauders bested nine other teams for first place at the LVC Spring Invitational.
Millersville has won three consecutive tournaments dating back to October. The Marauders won by 42 shots, posting a 346. Hood College finished second and East Stroudsburg placed third. Kirby earned her first medalist honor since April 13, 2024.
Millersville golfers finished 1, 2, 3 on the leaderboard and all six Marauders finished in the top 11. Scoring was challenging on the cold, windy day, but the Marauders were largely unaffected as Kirby shot a 10-over 82 to edge classmate Amanda Wolf. Millersville's other senior, Emma Schotsch, placed third with an 85. Ashden Stitt posted a 94 to finish ninth, and Lex Pfeufer rounded out the scoring with a 95 in 10th place. Sabrina Swope shot a 96.
Kirby played steady golf, but the highlight of the day was an eagle on the par-4, 336-yard 13th. Wolf recorded a birdie on the par-3 second hole and the
