Marauders land 14 athletes on NFHCA Academic Squad

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its 2024 Division II National Academic Squad with 14 Marauders earning a spot on the list.
The NFHCA recognized 430 undergraduate student-athletes from more than 30 institutions. The organization honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year. Millersville was one of the 26 institutions and eight PSAC member universities to have at least 10 student-athletes recognized by the NFHCA for their academic excellence.
The Marauders named to the list were seniors Gianna Cugino and Morgan Lennon, juniors Makayla Brunnabend, Sarah Crysler, Daniella Fazekas, Kayla Peakes, Daina Thomson, and Myah Yesko, sophomores Alaina Culbert and Erin Esterhuizen, and freshmen Kamryn Bittle, Megan Harrell-Alvarez, Collette Lennon, and Cali Mease.
The NFHCA will award three more honors this month, with the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction announced on Friday, Feb. 14, the NFHCA National Academic Team on Tuesday, Feb. 18, and the National Scholar-Athlete on Thursday, Feb. 20.
