Slippery Rock was unable to respond to the early scoring surge, as Millersville continued to apply offensive pressure. The Marauders entered halftime with a 3–0 advantage.
Millersville maintained its momentum in the second half, earning consecutive corner kicks but unable to convert. In the 62nd minute, Francis chipped a precise pass over Slippery Rock's back line to Coy, who finished into the back of the net to make it 4–0.
Slippery Rock attempted to rally, putting multiple shots on Millersville goalkeeper Sabrina Zimmerman, all of which were saved. With their defense holding strong and no goals conceded, the Marauders pulled away to secure a 4–0 victory. The win advances Millersville to the PSAC Tournament semifinals, where the team will travel to West Chester on Friday to face either Kutztown or IUP.WSOC: Millersville adds to the lead! - Coy and Francis each had a goal
- Sabrina Zimmerman finished the day with seven saves
- The girls completely dominated the match, what motivated them in the first half to perform at that level? "The girls were focused and ready to go from the start. I would say the fact that we're playing for our season and for our seniors careers. No next games promised, so we have no choice."
- It's great to celebrate a dominant win over a ranked opponent, but what's the message to the girls about staying focused and locked in for Friday's semifinal match? "Yes, on to the next one. The message is the same, we have no other choice but to work for another game."
