MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Millersville women's soccer team played East Stroudsburg to a 1-1 tie Saturday at Pucillo Field. The Marauders were outshot 12-8 but matched East Stroudsburg with five shots on goal, and both goalkeepers made four saves.
East Stroudsburg finished with a 12-8 shot advantage, but the Marauders matched the visitors with five shots on goal and Megan Taltavull made four saves. Aubrey Strohecker supplied the Marauders' goal, and 'Ville generated three shots and two corner kicks during a late stretch with the match tied.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Aubrey Strohecker gave the Marauders the first-half breakthrough in the ninth minute, scoring to put 'Ville ahead 1-0. Megan Taltavull made three saves in the half, including two in the opening 10 minutes, as the Marauders kept East Stroudsburg off the board. 'Ville also put a Brook Balliet shot on goal late and reached halftime ahead 1-0.

The Marauders' 1-0 lead was erased in the second half when East Stroudsburg's Kali O'Connell scored in the 78th minute to tie the match 1-1. The Marauders pushed after the equalizer, getting two saved shots from Sara Edwards and another attempt from Lia Francis during a late stretch that also included a corner kick. The match finished 1-1.
