Mykut, Kulina, McNelly receive NCBWA All-Atlantic Region recognition

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The day before NCAA Atlantic Regional play begins, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its all-region awards, and three Millersville Marauders were named All-Atlantic Region.
Starting pitcher Alex Mykut was named to the first team while second baseman Mark McNelly and starting pitcher Carson Kulina were named to the second team. It is the first all-region selections for Mykut and McNelly and the second for Kulina, who was a first-team honoree in 2023.
Entering the regional, Mykut ranks second in Division II with a 1.86 ERA. He boasts a 9-2 record with four complete games in 13 starts, striking out 82 while limiting opponents to a .197 batting average against. Kulina leads the PSAC with 86 strikeouts and leads Millersville with five complete games. He is 9-1 with a 2.88 ERA and 1.28 WHIP.
McNelly has impacted all areas of the game, hitting .359 with a .463 on-base percentage. McNelly also has 19 extra-base hits, leads the team with 45 runs and ranks second with 38 RBIs. He ranks second in the PSAC with 30 stolen bases in 31 attempts. A steady fielder at second base, McNelly has committed just three errors in 127 chances (.976).
West Chester's Anthony Boccio was named the region's player of the year. East Stroudsburg's Brent Francisco and his coach John Kochmansky were named the pitcher and coach of the year respectively.
