Angelo takes home NFCA and D2CCA All-Region honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After a 2024 season in which she took home the PSAC East Softball Athlete of the Year award, Millersville catcher Aleese Angelo has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Atlantic Region First Team and the Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Atlantic Region First Team. It is the first time a Marauder has been named to both All-Region First Teams since Faith Willenbrock in 2021.
Millersville's All-Region backstop had another historically great season in 2024. She finished among the top 10 in multiple Marauder single-season categories, including tallying the most hits in a season in program history (71). Angelo's totals in runs (44), RBI (47) and home runs (13) all ranked inside the top three in a season in team history. Her assault on the record books didn't stop there, as she surpassed or tied six career records in her final season at Millersville.
