'Ville women's golf takes first at Marauder Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. - With a tournament-low score in the second round, the Millersville women's golf team rallied to win the first 36-hole Marauder Invitational hosted at Iron Valley Golf Club.
The Marauders entered the final round trailing West Chester by nine shots, but they charged in front with a 337 on Monday, edging the Golden Rams by one shot. The Marauders posted a 693 total on the challenging par-72 course.
Three Marauders finished in the top 10 led by Amanda Wolf's fifth-place finish. Wolf posted an 83 on Sunday and an 86 on Monday. Charley Kirby finished in sixth after following her first round 87 with a second round 83. Taylor Hileman improved her score by six shots, posting an 84 on Monday to finish in a tie for 10th. The individual title went to Bloomsburg's Noemi Kriszo, who opened with a tournament-low score of 76 and finished at 17-over.
Out of 29 golfers, Emma Schotsch finished in a tie for 14th, and her 84 on Monday was a 12-shot improvement from the first round. Ashden Stitt played for just the second time in 2023-24. She posted a career-low 91 in round two to tie for 18th.
The Marauders' win was their fourth of the season.
The team plays host again on Saturday, April 13 at Tanglewood Golf Club as it hosts the Millersville Women's Invitational.
