Women's tennis ranked fifth in latest regional rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Millersville women's tennis team was ranked No. 5 in the latest version of the Atlantic Region Rankings.
The Marauders are 8–5 against regional opponents, with an 8–7 record overall against Division II opponents. The top seven teams in the region qualify for the Regional round of the postseason, which begin May 10. The Marauders have been steadily trending upward over the last three seasons, making it at least to the semifinals round of the PSAC Tournament all three years. The Marauders are vying for their first NCAA Tournament berth since the 2006-07 season.
Millersville has won each of its last four matches heading down the final stretch of the regular season, and is in contention to win the PSAC East. The Marauders have been led by the duo of Noelle Htwar and Hui Jen Soo as the top two seeds, while Chloe Abramowitz and Sido Rault have performed admirably in the middle spots of the lineup. Rounding out the rest of the regular starting lineup has been Lauren Hayes and Sophie Lanius, who won PSAC East Athlete of the Week on April 8.
