LEBANON, Pa. - The Millersville women's golf team opened its spring schedule with a second-place finish at Monday's Lebanon Valley Spring Invitational hosted at Lebanon Country Club.
The Marauders shot a 351 on the part-72 course, finishing 15 shots behind York College and 41 in front of Franklin & Marshall. Scoring was a challenge on the cold, windy day. Temperatures barely cracked 40 degrees, and winds gusted at more than 20 miles per hour.
Millersville's counted cards all finished in the top 11. Emma Schotsch tied for fourth with a 14-over 86. Amanda Wolf finished one shot behind in seventh place, and Taylor Hileman tied for eighth with an 88. Lex Pfeufer shot a 90 to tie for 11th.
Millersville closed its fall season in October by winning back-to-back events, including posting a 338 at the Lebanon Invitational held on the same course.
Monday's round marked the start of a busy spring for the Marauders. They are set to play eight events, including the PSAC Championship in April. The Marauders compete in the Cal Vulcan Fire Classic at Lone Pine Country Club on March 25-26.
