LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - After a four-game series sweep of Mansfield ran the team's PSAC East record to 8-0, the Millersville baseball team swept the PSAC East's weekly awards Monday with Keegan Soltis winning the athlete of the week award and Carson Kulina winning the pitcher of the week award.
These are the first PSAC East weekly awards for Soltis and Kulina. Millersville also swept the awards in week one. Soltis joins Matthew Williams as the second Marauder named PSAC East Athlete of the Week this season, and Kulina is second to win the pitcher of the week award, joining two-time winner Alex Mykut.
In the series against Mansfield, Soltis hit .800, going 8 for 10 with eight runs, seven RBIs, two doubles, two homers and five walks. Soltis posted a .867 on-base percentage and a 1.600 slugging percentage in the series. Soltis reached base at least twice in each game. On Saturday, he went 3 for 3 with four RBIs, a double and two homers in game one and then went 3 for 3 with three walks, six runs, and an RBI in game two.
