MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Millersville University baseball was busy on the recruiting trail in the offseason, and on National Letter of Intent Day, the Marauders signed 14 high school seniors who will join the program in the fall of 2025.
The signing class includes: West Chester Rustin's Brody Bump, Hamburg Area's Scottie Dunleavy, Hershey's Clark Green, Wissahickon's Adam Hajdak, Wilson's Christo Hunsicker, Springfield Township's Nolan Kidwell, Tussey Mountain's Ben Kormanski, Huntingdon's Eric Mykut, West Perry's Mason Sanno, Bishop Shanahan's Jake Scott, Annville-Cleona's Colten Shaffer, Sissonville's Eli Simonton, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's Gino Williams, and Mount Lebanon's Maddox Yost.
"This is one of our bigger recruiting classes," said Millersville head coach Jon Shehan. "We also feel like it is one of our best classes--in terms of makeup--that we've ever had. It's made up of a group of young men who are excellent students from great families. We feel that they will be an immediate fit for our program, live out its values and continue to make Millersville baseball competitive at regional and national levels. I want to thank recruiting coordinator David Baker, Coach Jimmy Losh, and Coach Eli Nabholz for their outstanding work putting this class together. Classes of the size take a lot of work to put together."
Millersville enters the 2025 season with 13 fourth and fifth-year players on the roster, necessitating a signing class with depth and position balance. The class includes seven pitchers, including two left-handers, a two-way player, an outfielder, catcher and four infielders.
"In terms of needs, we needed to bring in a number of arms," said Shehan. "We have also been light from a catching aspect for a few years. Finally, we added a couple of quality power hitters, and a few guys who can run and handle the bat to balance out our class."
Millersville has reached the NCAA Atlantic Regional in 11 consecutive seasons, which is the longest active streak in the region. Under Shehan, the Marauders have won two PSAC championships, two regional titles and 10 PSAC East titles. The program has produced 17 players who have played professionally, including Chas McCormick '17 and Tim Mayza '18 who reached Major League Baseball and have played in the World Series.

Intended major: Undecided
High School (Coach): West Chester Rustin (Brad Harkins)
Travel Team (Coach): Joe Poduslenko (Bellringers)
Goals at Millersville: "Get better every year."
Shehan's scouting report: "Brody can really pitch. He's a mid to upper-80's righty with a handful of quality off-speed pitches that he can throw in the zone. We love his upside. He got better as last summer went onward. And he comes from great stock as his dad played in the Big Leagues."
Scottie Dunleavy
OF | 5-7 | 140 | L/L
Why Millersville: "I chose Millersville due to the coaching staff and their play styles. I fit the way they play very well, and it was a no-brainer to me."
Intended major: Undecided
High School (Coach): Hamburg Area (Nick Evangelista and Mark Dietrich)
Travel Team (Coach): U.S. Elite (Trey Cobb)
Goals at Millersville: "Finally be part of a baseball family with likeminded people and develop with the players and coaches to be the absolute best version of myself."
Shehan's scouting report: "Scottie is a left-handed stick that has plus wheels to go along with quality bat control. Offensively, we feel like he can do a lot for us. His defense in center field is outstanding. He borderlines on reckless with his aggression."
Clark Green
RHP | 6-3 | 180 | R/R
Why Millersville: "I felt Millersville would give me the best chance to become the best version of myself."
Intended major: Exercise Science
High School (Coach): Hershey (Jeff Gergic)
Travel Team: Keystone State Bombers
Goals at Millersville: "Get drafted."
Shehan's scouting report: "Clark fits the traditional mol we've had here for years. He's got a super-projectable body with room to add mass. He has pretty clean arm action, and he's intelligent, which is going to help him grow from a pitch-ability aspect."
Adam Hajdak
RHP | 6-0 | 200 | R/R
Why Millersville: "I chose Millersville because of the amazing baseball program with a great coaching staff, an excellent academic program, and an awesome campus that feels like home."
Intended major: Computer-aided drafting and design
High School (Coach): Wissahickon (Andy Noga)
Travel Team (Coach): Ambler Boilermakers (Tim Johnson and Frank Decembrino)
Goals at Millersville: "I want to be a big contributor of a national championship-winning team."
Shehan's scouting report: "Adam attended a few camps and every time we saw him, he seemed to improve. He's got a fastball that has reached 89-90 and a really good feel for spinning the ball too. He is development-oriented and competitive too."
Christo Hunsicker
1B/3B | 6-3 | 200 | R/R
Why Millersville: "The baseball program is successful. I feel comfortable on campus, and I love the coaching staff."
Intended major: Business

Goals at Millersville: "Win championships, create lifelong memories and friendships with my teammates, and grow as an athlete and student."
Shehan's scouting report: "Christo is one of those rare three-sport kids at a big high school that caught our eye for a number of reasons. Who knows how good he can be when he puts all of his efforts into baseball? First, he is super-athletic. He's got power, arm strength and the ability to play a bunch of positions. He's also got big-time leadership potential too."
Nolan Kidwell
LHP | 6-2 | 190 | R/L
Why Millersville: "I chose Millersville because I loved the coaches and wanted to be a part of a winning program. I also liked the campus, and it was close to home."

High School (Coach): Springfield Township (Robert Bond)
Travel Team (Coach): PBT Bellringers (Joe Poduslenko)
Goals at Millersville: "My goals at Millersville are to win a national championship, and have a sub-3.00 ERA.
Shehan's scouting report: When we evaluate arms, we aren't always looking for velocity. Uniqueness typically means deceptive. Nolan gets a ton of swing-and-miss on his fastball because of his slot and extension. His breaking ball pairs well with it too. He's got room for growth on a 6-2 frame. His parents are also 'Ville alumni!"
Ben Kormanski
3B | 5-11 | 195 | L/R
Why Millersville: "I chose Millersville because of their incredible culture and the amazing coaching staff. I'm really looking forward to being a part of such a great team and environment."

Goals at Millersville: "My goals at Millersville are to develop as a player and a person along with winning a lot of championships."
Shehan's scouting report: "Ben has a classic left-handed swing. It's smooth and efficient. He's got easy power and handles both sides of the plate well. On top of that, he can play both corner positions. He was one of the most excited kids to commit to Millersville we've ever had."
Eric Mykut
LHP | 5-11 | 160 | L/L
Why Millersville: "Great atmosphere, a place to get better, great coaches and staff."
Intended major: "Sports Administration
High School (Coach): Huntingdon (Jon Mykut)
Travel Team (Coach): Flood City (Rick Roberts)
Goals at Millersville: "Develop as a player and a person while competing for a national championship."
"Shehan's scouting report: "We obviously like what we saw from his big brother, Alex. But they are distinctly different pitchers. Eric is left-handed and mixes three pitches for strikes. He's a low to mid-80s guy who should get exponentially better when his wrestling days end after high school. He is tough and competitive just like his brother."
Mason Sanno
SS/2B | 5-8 | 140 | L/R
Why Millersville: "I love the atmosphere. I love the coaching staff and the winning culture they bring to the program. It felt like home when I first went there."

Goals at Millersville: "Get better each and every day. Push myself and others around me to my best abilities, and win a national championship."
Shehan's scouting report: "Mason brings outstanding defensive in the middle of the infield. He's got excellent instincts and outstanding bat-to-ball skills. He rarely strikes out. He can also bunt and runs well above average. His dad is the head coach of a very good high school program at West Perry, which obviously plays into Mason's understanding of the game."
Jake Scott
RHP | 6-3 | 245 | R/R
Why Millersville: "I loved the coaching staff and the team is always good. I thought it would be a great opportunity to pursue."
Intended major: Marketing
High School (Coach): Bishop Shanahan (Brian Boyko)
Travel Team Coach: Mack Gill
Goals at Millersville: "Get better in every aspect, whether that is baseball or outside of baseball, and make relationships that will last beyond Millersville."
Shehan's scouting report: "Jake has the frame to become a power pitcher in our conference. His arm action and delivery also project velocity. His breaking ball is above average as well. Jake is super competitive and excited about development."
Colten Shaffer
RHP | 5-9 | 180 | R/R
Why Millersville: "It's a local school and competitive program."
Intended major: Finance
High School (Coach): Annville-Cleona (Mike Miller)
Travel Team (Coach): Wow Factor Northeast National (Jared Verebey)
Goals at Millersville: "Get playing time and contribute to a winning team."
Shehan's scouting report: "Colten is unique. He has the ability to spin the ball close to 3,000 RPMs. That should generate a lot of swings and misses. We were able to see him in a lot of different venues. Each of those places he was extremely competitive. This is the type of guy our staff could see waning the ball late in the game for our team."
Eli Simonton
RHP/OF | 6-2 | 190 | R/R
Why Millersville: "I chose Millersville for many reasons: the winning culture, coaches, and the size of the school all felt perfect, which made my decision super easy."

High School (Coach): Sissonville (Chad Carpenter)
Travel Team (Coach): Appalachian Aces (Josh Crawford and Dave Blair)
Goals at Millersville: "My goals at Millersville are to benefit the team in any way I can. I hope to contribute to the program. I also want to keep winning in the PSAC and make it back to Cary."
Shehan's scouting report: "Eli is incredibly athletic. He is primarily a pitcher but could see time as a bat as well. He's been up to 90 and projects a higher velocity than that. He can also spin a breaking ball very well. His frame, stuff and mentality are what we look for in starting pitching. It's going to be fun seeing his young man grow in our program."
Gino Williams
INF | 5-11 | 200 | R/R
Why Millersville: "I chose Millersville because of the great coaches and the relationship I built with them over the recruiting process. I also get a chance to come to a great school and be a part of a great team."
Intended major: Business
High School (Coach): Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Phil McCarren)
Travel Team (Coach): Pittsburgh Stars (Jim Clister) and Allegheny Pirates (Fred Albert)
Goals at Millersville: "I want to become a better player on and off the field, earn a degree, and win a national championship."
Shehan's scouting report: "Gino was a lot of fun to recruit. He's not just an outstanding bat and infielder, he's also a fantastic young man. He's another example of a player who continues to get better every time you see him. It speaks to his work ethic. He's a high school shortstop who projects more on the corner and could even play a corner outfield position."
Maddox Yost
C | 5-7 | 160 | R/R
Why Millersville: "The coaching staff is top-level when it comes to development and maturity. The reputation of Millersville baseball is one of the best around."
Intended major: Sport Administration/Sport Business
High School (Coach): Mount Lebanon (Pat McCloskey)
Travel Team (Coach): Northeast Padres (Dan Williams)
Goals at Millersville: "My goals include earning a degree, growing as a person, and helping the team win."
Shehan's scouting report: "Maddox is a catching coach's dream. He can really receive, block and throw. He's also handled upper-level arms as he had a high-round raft pick on his staff during the high school season. His travel team also has some outstanding pitching. He's going to be able to help us at the plate too. His swing is outstanding."
The signing class includes: West Chester Rustin's Brody Bump, Hamburg Area's Scottie Dunleavy, Hershey's Clark Green, Wissahickon's Adam Hajdak, Wilson's Christo Hunsicker, Springfield Township's Nolan Kidwell, Tussey Mountain's Ben Kormanski, Huntingdon's Eric Mykut, West Perry's Mason Sanno, Bishop Shanahan's Jake Scott, Annville-Cleona's Colten Shaffer, Sissonville's Eli Simonton, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's Gino Williams, and Mount Lebanon's Maddox Yost.
