NCBWA tabs Taylor and Shehan for top region awards; Four Marauders named all-region

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its All-Atlantic Region teams and awards on Wednesday and named Millersville University's Bren Taylor the Atlantic Region Player of the Year and Jon Shehan the region's coach of the year.
Taylor, previously named the PSAC East Athlete of the Year for the second time, is the second Marauder and second in a row to win the region's top honor. Thomas Caufield won the award in 2022. Taylor led all Atlantic Region hitters with a .415 batting average. He also totaled 51 runs, 19 steals, 15 doubles, four triples and four home runs.
Shehan is now a two-time NCBWA region coach of the year, having also won the award in 2016. He also won the ABCA version of the award in 2011, 2013 and 2016.
In addition to the award winners, Taylor, Caufield and Carson Kulina were named NCBWA All-Atlantic Region First Team. Jimmy Losh earned second team honors. Taylor joins Chas McCormick '17 as the Marauder position player named NCBWA All-Atlantic Region three times. Taylor, however is the first Marauder selected to the first team three times. Losh and Caufield were both first team selections in 2022. Kulina is in his first year with the Marauders.
