SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Millersville women's outdoor track and field team competed in its second-to-last regular season meet of the season today at the 2023 Paul Kaiser Track & Field Classic in Shippensburg, Pa. . 'Ville standout
Hannah Woelfling placed first in both the hammer throw (197-8) and discus (152-6).
Aubrey Sydnor also picked up a first-place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 56.22, just short of her career-best and school record time of 56.17.
Darian Hauf rounded out the Marauder top finishes in the pole vault with a height of 11-11 3/4.
The Marauders also added four new Pennsylvania State Athlete Conference (PSAC) qualifying marks.
Kaycee McCullough took fourth place in the 10,000 meters with a mark of 40.25.05, Samantha Foster placed fifth in the 3,000-meter steeple with a time of 12:26.35,
Heather Lesinski tool seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.60 and
Kandice Liebl finished sixth in the javelin with a distance of 118-2.
"Lots of good developments with the team," said head coach
Andy Young. "One more regular season meet before conference and we feel good about having 25 individuals already qualified. Hope to pick up a few more next week."
MORE MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- In addition to Sydnor's top finish, Shelby Derkosh placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.33.
- Megan Malecki took second in the pole vault with a height of 11-5 ¾.
- Maddy Downs placed second in the discus with a distance of 139-2.
- De'Asia Holloman finished with a season-best time of 14.47 in the 100-meter hurdles and took second at the event.
- Kait Leister earned a third-place finish in the 10,000 meters with a finishing time of 40:25.05.
- Abbey Sullivan took fourth place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.28.
- The Millersville 4-by-100-relay team that consists of Holloman, Lesinski, Emma Elwell and Arianna Kouakou took second place with a time of 47.62.
- Millersville took second and third place in the 4-by-400 relay as the "A" team which consists of Aurora Conrad, Elwell, Derkosh and Cora Heilman finished in 4:04.60 while the "B" team of Emily Skidmore, Sabela Zablackis, Emily Beers and Lily LaBure finished with a time of 4:18.02.

The Marauders are back in action on Saturday, May 6 at the Lock Haven Qualifier, their last meet before the PSAC Championships.
