
Millersville places seventh at IUP Invitational

INDIANA, PA. – The Millersville men's golf team recorded a seventh-place finish in a crowded field at the Spadafora IUP Invitational.
The 16-team field was led by Malone University (593) and host IUP (600) who placed first and second. The Marauders (618) finished four strokes ahead of West Chester who placed eighth.
'Ville started the two-round tournament off strong, finishing day one in fourth place after carding a 302. A tough second round (316) saw the Marauders drop three spots in the standings, finishing the tournament 50-over-par as a group.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Bobby Lugiano led the Marauders as he tied for sixth place in the individual standings. Lugiano carded a team best 71 as he shot even-to-par in round one before shooting a 78 in round two to finish 7-over-par for the tournament.
Christopher Knox was the next Marauder finisher, tying for 31st as he shot a 78 in both rounds, carding a 156.
Ty Morral tied for 42nd as he shot a 158, carding a 78 in round one and an 80 in round two.
Noah Keener started off the tournament with a solid first round, carding a 75 and finishing day one just four-over-par. He then shot an 84 in round two to tie for 48th.
Carl Ernst rounded out the Marauder finishers as he carded a 166. Ernst was the most improved Marauder from day one to day two, shaving six strokes off his score.
