Woelfling improves on NCAA distance in Big Apple Invitational

NEW YORK, NY. – Competing against primarily Division I opponents, the Marauders traveled to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex to partake in the Big Apple Invitational. There was no team scoring for the meet.
Hannah Woelfling and Darian Hauf recorded the only top five finishes for Millersville as the senior and sophomore remain at the top of the PSAC standings in their respective events.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Woelfling set new season bests in both the weight throw and shot put. In the weight throw, Woelfling took second place with a distance of 58-2, improving on her existing NCAA qualifying mark. She remains the top ranked weight thrower in the PSAC. Woelfling also took fourth in the shot put at 44-06 ¼, improving on her season best mark by nearly a full foot. She fell just shy of the NCAA qualifying standard of 44-08 ¾.
- Hauf tied for second in the pole vault at 12-0 while Megan Malecki took 10th at 11-0 ¼. Hauf is still the top ranked pole vaulter in the PSAC and is the lone member of the conference to have an NCAA qualifying mark with a season best height of 12-1 ½ from Feb. 5.
- Aurora Conrad and Emma Elwell were the top Marauders in the 200-meter dash, taking 12th (25.69) and 19th (25.98) place, respectively. Elwells' time was a new season best as she improved on her existing PSAC mark.
- Abbey Sullivan placed 16th in the 800-meter coming in at 2:21.86, setting a new season best.
- Kaycee McCullough placed 25th in the 3,000-meter at 11:20.39.
- Aubrey Sydnor took 10th in the 400-meter dash at 59.18
- De'Asia Holloman was the top Marauder finisher in the 60-meter hurdles, taking 13th with a time of 9.61 seconds.
- Hannah Sweda led 'Ville in the mile, taking 25th at 5:29.11.
- The 4x400 relay "A" team took seventh place as Shelby Derkosh, Lindsay Solderitch, Elwell, and Cora Heilman combined for a time of 4:08.77.

- The Marauders are back in action on Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Princeton Invitational for their final meet before the PSAC Championships which begin on Feb. 24.
