
Marauders finish Michael Corbett Classic in seventh

ERIE, Pa. - Highlighted by Sydney Barnes' hole-in-one in the first round, the Millersville women's golf team finished in seventh place out of nine teams in the two-round Michael Corbett Classic hosted by Gannon at Whispering Woods Golf Course.
The Marauders shot a two-day total of 696 on the par-72 course. Barnes' hole-in-one was carded on Sunday on the 165-yard par-3 14th hole. Barnes shot a 95 on the first day but improved to an 82 in the second round to finish in 37th place.
Taylor Hileman posted back-to-back rounds of 83 to be Millersville's top finisher in 17th place. Amanda Wolf opened with an 84 but slipped down the leaderboard with an 89 in round two. She finished in a tie for 29th. Charley Kirby finished in 40th with a 180 total.
Gannon took the team title with a 614 team total. Ohio Dominican's Abbey Dillon took first place with a 6-over-par score.
Millersville returns to action on Oct. 12 at the one-day Bloomsburg Invitational.
