Marauders place third at Kutztown Invitational

FLEETWOOD, Pa. - Led by Amanda Wolf's fifth-place finish, the Millersville women's golf team took third in a field of six teams at the two round Kutztown Fall Invitational hosted at Moselem Springs Golf Club.
The Marauders finished with a plus-131 score but drastically improved in the second round after posting a 354 and sitting in fourth after the opening 18. The Marauders rallied with the third-lowest round of Monday's action, shooting a 337.
In a field of 33 golfers, Wolf took fifth with two-round score of 22-over-par. She opened with an 84 and closed with a 78 on the par 70 course. Taylor Hileman cracked the top-10, posting a 33-over score but shooting seven strokes lower on day two. Sydney Barnes also improved by six shots on day two and finished at 38-over along with teammate Charley Kirby. Annabelle McGowan also competed, finishing in 29th.
Kuttown's Brooke Graham won medalist honors with a 12-over score. Alvernia placed first with a 656 team tally. West Chester finished second.
The invitational marked the start of a busy two weeks for the Marauders who play two events in Erie From Oct. 6-9 and then travel to the Bloomsburg Invitational on Oct. 12.
