LEBANON, Pa. - With Emma Schotsch's first-place 78 leading the way, Millersville golfers finished in the top four spots and the Marauders ran away with the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Monday.
The Marauders shot a team score of 338 (50-over-par), finishing 30 shots lower than runner-up Bloomsburg. Millersville was 55 shots better than the third-place team. The team win was Millersville's third of the fall and second in five days. The Marauders have also won the Lebanon Valley College Invitational three years in a row. Head coach Scott Vandegrift has now led the Millersville men's and women's programs to a combined 101 tournament wins.
Schotsch, who finished as the runner-up at the Bloomsburg Invitational last Thursday, won for the second time in her career. She is a back-to-back winner of the Lebanon Valley College Invitational, having taken first place with an identical 78 on Oct. 24, 2022.
Schotsch fired a 39 on both nines, finishing five shots in front of teammate and runner-up Amanda Wolf, who cared an 11-over 83. Wolf capped her fall campaign with a fourth top-10 in six events. Charley Kirby placed third with a 12-over 84. Freshman Lex Pfeufer shot a career-low round of 85 to place fourth. Taylor Hileman tied for ninth.
The invitational completed Millersville's fall schedule.
