Hileman Leads Marauders at Alvernia Fall Invitational

READING, Pa.- Millersville finished in third place on Tuesday afternoon at the Alvernia Fall Invitational with the help of a strong outing from Taylor Hileman.
The Marauders shot a 367 (79-over-par) as a team to finish in third place behind West Chester (64-over-par) and Alvernia (53-over-par), which took first place in the event shooting a 341.
Taylor Hileman led the Marauders by shooting 12-over-par on the par 72 course and having an overall third-place finish. On the front nine she parred four holes and finished the third hole with a birdie. Those holes helped carry her to a strong front, shooting 5-over-par.
Sarah Lawrie finished ninth overall after shooting 17-over-par. Lawrie parred five holes, finishing 6-over-par in the front.
Amanda Wolf finished tied for 15th shooting 23-over-par, while Emma Schotsch and Amanda Steier both tied for 17th shooting 27-over-par.
Alvernia, the host of the event, took first place with strong showings from the overall first and second place finishers. McKylie Boreman shot 10-over-par, while Rylee Stenzel shot 11-over-par.
Millersville is back in action this upcoming Sunday and Monday at the Kutztown Invitational.
