Hileman and Schotsch Lead Marauders to Runner-Up Finish

Fleetwood, Pa- Top five finishes from Taylor Hileman and Emma Schotsch helped the Marauders finish in second place at the Kutztown Fall Invitational.
Millersville shot a 681 combined in the two-round event and came away with a second-place finish out of eight teams. After shooting a 344 in round one and a 337 in round two, the Marauders finished behind Alvernia by 18 strokes and 25 strokes ahead of Kutztown, the third-place finisher.
Hileman and Schotsch tied with each other for fifth place overall with their team-leading scores of 26-over-par through 36 holes. Hileman shot 10-over-par in her best round on day one of the invitational after she birdied two holes on the front nine. Schotsch shot a 79 on the par 70 course in round two to lead the team.
Amanda Steier finished tied for 12th overall after shooting a combined 178. Amanda Wolf shot a 179 through two rounds for a 14th overall finish and Sarah Lawrie shot a 181 allowing all five Marauders to have top-20 finishes.
The Marauders will compete next at the Clarion Invitational on Oct. 16.
